Tarte Cosmetics Mascara Review

Hi everyone!

For my first review I will be talking about a miracle (in my opinion) product: Tarte CosmeticsLights, Camera, Lashes™ 4-in-1 mascara.

Image from Tarte Cosmetics' website

Their website explains that it is a vegan-friendly product, and describes it as:
“A lengthening, curling, volumizing, and conditioning mascara infused with olive esters to condition, treat, and protect lashes.”

For someone who has teeny tiny stubs of nothingness for eyelashes (like me), or anyone else who wants to get the full potential of their lashes, this mascara will be your new best friend! Speaking of best friends, mine actually introduced me to this product after bringing me back a mini sample as a souvenir from her hols in Florida – thanks for saving my life bestie!

Here’s some before and after shots of bare lashes and one coat – please don’t judge my out-of-control-brows and pasty skin. These are my first ever before/after review photos so be kind...

The consistency of the mascara is smooth, so the wand doesn’t come out of the tube covered in gloop, and it seems to grab every individual lash - it’s almost impossible to clump. If you curl your lashes - which is a definite must for me, every single day - it holds the curl. The formula doesn’t flake or smudge during the day, and it’s easily buildable. I like to curl my lashes, apply one coat and wait for it to dry if I have time, then curl them again (I know, I know - some of you will be horrified by this second curl while wearing mascara, sorry!) and apply another coat, etc, etc. until I'm happy.

I wear false eyelash strips when I go out at night time, so I can’t give an opinion on the mascara as a night look, but it is great as daytime mascara for me personally.

In general, I’ve loved this mascara from the first time I used it! I may just be being biased due to the fact I basically have no eyelashes and this product gives the illusion that I do… Let me know in the comments if you’ve used it, and what you think!

Zoë xx
