Last weekend was my boyfriend's birthday. As part of his present, we stayed in a lovely hotel, and we were in room 212 - am I the only one who automatically started singing "I was in the 212" by Azelia Banks? I found myself quite hilarious on the night when I originally made that connection (pretty full of alcohol though, so everything was funny, especially this massive chair...)

We went for an amazing curry at a place called Barton Rouge - I played it safe and stuck to what I know, and it was a good decision because the chicken tikka massala was delish. Don't judge me, I can't deal with spicy! We also had poppadoms and a peshwari naan - washed down with beer/ wine, obvs!
Afterwards, we walked a bit of the food and drink off and got to The Botanist, a cute little bar and restaurant I've mentioned before. They base all of their cocktails and food menus around flowers and plants - which is where their name comes from, clearly! I hate beer/ ale/ anything like that, but my boyfriend seemed to enjoy his! I had a strawberry and mint vodka martini, and a grape and raspberry spritzer, made with vodka and white wine - it tasted as gorgeous as it sounds... check it out!
|YAASSSS, amazing cocktails!|
So, like I said, I was feeling hilarious after the booze and decided to get into our huge, posh hotel bath... fully clothed. Then made my boyfriend take far too many pictures of me. Comic genius. Har har. What a laugh.
I've forgotten the point of this post now because I've been rambling on about food and drink, so let's end it with a cute pic of my dogs sunbathing. Sunbathing - as in the sun was actually out, hurrah! Bring on summer!!
